Welcome and thank you for visting our website. Here at Churchland Animal Clinic, we love our jobs and are passionate about caring for your pets because we each have special animal companions of our own. We invite pet owners from Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton Roads and Tidewater to explore our website for information on keeping pets healthy and safe. Our full-service Portsmouth veterinary hospital, and our sister animal vet clinic location in Suffolk, are here to help you and your pet.
Our veterinary hospital has been serving animals large and small since 1968. At Churchland Animal Clinic, we are committed to giving pets the best care available. Our Portsmouth veterinarians and staff have portrayed this commitment by volunteering our animal hospital to be evaluated and accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association's (AAHA) strict standards.
The primary and preventative care we provide to pets includes semi-annual visits for vaccinations and check-ups. Our animal hospital also focuses heavily on exercise and nutritional counseling to help pets avoid serious health problems in the future. In addition, our animal vet clinic provides special puppy and kitten wellness plans. The wellness plans enable families with new puppies or kittens to save money by planning the first three or four introductory wellness visits at a flat rate. These preventative care packages were designed by our veterinarians to include necessary vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and microchip placement. Our veterinary hospital also offers a full range of pet dental care services. Dental care for pets is about more than just avoiding bad breath, it helps prevent serious health problems. In addition to these services we also offer ophthalmology and dermatology services for your pets in Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton Roads and Tidewater.
In the event that your pet is injured or suffers from a serious health problem, our veterinarians and expert staff are experienced and ready to provide medical care. We offer veterinary care for pets suffering from advanced diseases or conditions that may require surgery and intensive care. We have a full range of diagnostic tools such as x-rays, ultrasounds and an on-site laboratory to process results quickly. Our digital system enables us to track and access a pet’s information on any computer within our veterinary hospital for fast, informed service. We also have an on-site pharmacy to dispense any necessary medications or treatments. These tools enable us to provide quicker, more accurate treatment and help pets with pain management.
Pet boarding is another service our Portsmouth animal hospital is happy to offer for you and your pets. If you are unable to take your pet with you on a trip, we encourage you to make a boarding reservation with us. We treat all of our pet boarders as special guests while they stay with us.
Our website has further information on each of the services that we provide, so please spend some time looking around and please let us know if you have any questions. If you would like to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians, please call us at (757) 484-2733 or email us.
